Our Legacy

For decades, the Association of Security Consultants (ASC) has stood as a trusted voice and standard-bearer for the security consulting profession.

A Tradition of Professional Excellence

Founded by practitioners, for practitioners, the Association was established to advance professionalism, integrity, and excellence in security consultancy across all sectors.

The Association’s legacy is not only defined by its history, but by its people. Membership has always been selective, based on experience, competence, and professional conduct. This has created a trusted community where knowledge is shared openly and standards are upheld collectively.

Independence has always been central to our identity. The Association was established to promote security consulting that is:

  1. Objective and evidence-based
  2. Free from vendor or product influence
  3. Focused on risk, proportionate response, and long-term resilience
