ASC X SIA Webinar
The Security Industry Authority will host an exclusive webinar for members of the Association of Security Consultants focused on the Section 12 Consultation under Martyn’s Law, providing members with direct insight into one of the most significant pieces of security legislation currently shaping the UK security sector.
With Martyn’s Law expected to come into force in Spring 2027, the webinar will examine how the proposed statutory guidance is intended to operate in practice, including the SIA’s approach to regulation, compliance expectations, and the practical realities of implementation across the industry. The consultation will play a key role in determining how the legislation is enforced, making this an important opportunity for security professionals to gain clarity directly from the regulator.
This session is exclusively for the ASC members and reflects the value of the ASC membership by providing access to direct engagement with the SIA at a critical stage in the development of the legislation. Members will hear firsthand how the regulatory framework is evolving and what organisations and consultants should begin considering ahead of implementation.
The webinar will also include a live Q&A session, giving ASC members the opportunity to raise questions, share professional perspectives, and contribute to the wider discussion before the consultation closes in June 2026. As the industry prepares for the introduction of Martyn’s Law, ensuring that the voice of professional security consultants is represented within the conversation is more important than ever.
The webinar will take place on 4 June 2026 at 11:00am BST, and members are encouraged to attend this exclusive briefing and discussion with the SIA.
